Wood Elements exterior timber cladding offers a wide range of advantages that make it an excellent choice for both residential and commercial buildings. Here’s why more architects, builders, and homeowners are opting for Hurford’s timber cladding.

Aesthetic Appeal

Hurford’s Wood Elements timber exterior timber cladding offers a variety of species creating a visually striking facade that blends harmoniously with various architectural styles. It can be installed vertically or horizontally and adds warmth creating a connection to the natural environment.
When maintained well, Wood Elements timber cladding will withstand harsh weather conditions due to its high level of durability. Its resilience ensures that your building remains in tip-top condition for years to come. Hurford’s expertise in drying and machining timber enables us to manufacture not only an incredibly eye catching cladding but also a precision piece of timber suitable for all the element.
All of Hurford’s Wood Elements cladding is 100% PEFC Certified. Hurford’s are committed to our forests, our community and our future. We underpin our commitment with a progressive hardwood reforestation project. We have purchased over 5,000 hectares of land in NSW, Australia which will see more than 25,000 new plantation eucalypt saplings established each year. These plantations will be carefully managed and are established according to strict environmental guidelines and a code of practice designed to protect soil and water resources and support the surrounding habitat with special consideration to the native flora and fauna. This includes amenity plantings in every planting operation, never to be harvested, these mixed species trees are established on creek banks for soil protection and to complement designated natural regeneration areas to provide additional corridors of native forest for current and future generations.
Hurford’s Wood Elements timber cladding offers easy installation with its end matching, concealed screw fix, automatic spacing design and exclusive designer trims. It can be installed vertically or horizontally. Refer to the full Installation Guide for more information.
Exterior timber cladding provides excellent thermal insulation, helping to regulate indoor temperatures and improve energy efficiency. This can lead to reduced heating and cooling costs over time.
It is important to consider at design stage the accessibility, positioning and finishing of your timber cladding as this will determine the level of maintenance required. Wood Elements cladding can be left to weather naturally or regular oiling should be undertaken to maintain the appearance of the product.

Finishing Options of Wood Elements Timber Cladding

Various species are available within the Wood Elements architectural exterior cladding range and each specie can be used with either of the following finishes:

Dressed Face

A sawn brushed face finish within the Wood Elements exterior timber cladding range has a rough touch and appearance than cladding that has been dressed. It is also available in pre-oiled options or can be left to weather.
